Position: Specialist Biomedical Scientist (Band 6)

Contract Duration: asap till 2 months minimum from start date

Work Pattern: Core shifts, Monday to Friday

Pay Mechanism: It's a Direct Pay Mechanism

Hourly Day Rate: £23 - £25 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct and oversee diagnostic testing in Cellular Pathology.
• Perform and supervise microtomy procedures.
• Ensure high-quality and accurate diagnostic results.
• Collaborate with the pathology team to support patient care.
• Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment as needed.

Essential Requirements:

• Qualified Biomedical Scientist with Band 6 experience.
• Minimum 2 years in NHS setup is mandatory.
• Proven expertise in Cellular Pathology.
• Demonstrated experience with microtomy in a diagnostic setting.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Desirable Attributes:

• Previous experience in a similar role.
• Knowledge of current best practices in Cellular Pathology.
