    Role Overview: We are looking for a skilled Occupational Therapist Specialist Practitioner with a strong background in working with children and young people with moderate to complex additional needs. This role involves assessment, intervention planning, training, and providing care, with a focus on effective case management and service development.

    Our client Trust is a healthcare provider in Bridgend, Wales. It offers a range of acute and specialist services, including emergency care, maternity services, and surgical procedures. The trust is part of the NHS Wales network and focuses on delivering high-quality care to the local community while striving for continuous improvement and patient safety.

    Essential Criteria:

    • Experience: Proven experience working with children and young people with moderate to complex additional needs at a Band 7 level.
    • Skills: Proficient in assessment, intervention planning, and implementation, including training/upskilling others.
    • Case Management: Ability to efficiently complete and close episodes of care, manage time effectively, and contribute to service development.
    • Driver's License: A valid driver's license is essential as the role involves visiting community sites such as schools and homes.

    Desirable Criteria:

    • Specialist Knowledge: Experience in specialist seating and upper limb splinting.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Conduct assessments and develop tailored intervention plans.
    • Provide direct intervention and support to children and young people.
    • Deliver training and upskilling sessions as needed.
    • Manage and complete episodes of care efficiently.
    • Visit community sites, including schools and homes, as required.
    • Contribute to ongoing service development and improvement.
