We are looking for experienced Band 5/6 Mental Health Nurses for a well-known Mental Health Trust in Northwest England.

Job Description:

As a Band 5 Registered Nurse (Mental Health or Learning Disabilities), you should have at least six months of experience working in an inpatient mental health setting as part of a multidisciplinary team. You will be responsible for assessing, formulating, planning, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating evidence-based, person-centered, and recovery-focused nursing care.

Experience Required:

• Registered Nurse - Mental Health / Learning Disability
• Completion of Band 5 preceptorship program (proof may be required for RNs with less than 2 years of experience or career gaps)
• On-going NMC registration
• Experience working within a multi-disciplinary team
• Experience in assessing, planning, implementing, and reviewing care needs

Skills Required:

• Understanding of mental health conditions, treatments, recovery principles, and person-centered care
• Knowledge of the Mental Health Act 1983 and the Care Programme Approach
• Working knowledge of physical health conditions and their impact on patients with mental ill health
