We are looking to recruit enthusiastic and dynamic Band 5 Occupational Therapists to work under the supervision of a Band 6, as part of a multidisciplinary team in the specified area, providing specialist occupational therapy input aimed at achieving maximum independence for all service users.

Main Duties:

• The post holder will work under the direct supervision of an Occupational Therapist Clinical Lead.
• There may be responsibility for day-to-day organisation and referral to support staff.
• The role may involve flexible hours, weekend and bank holiday working on a rota basis, and cover across the community and community hospitals.

Requirements:

• HCPC registration with OT qualifications.
• Appropriate clinical experience in an acute setting.
• Effective communication skills.
• Experience working as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Pre- or post-graduate experience working with patients/clients in any of the following areas: stroke rehab, social services, mental health, paediatrics, or palliative care.
• Experience in specialist assessments such as cognitive, perceptual, wheelchair assessments, carer's assessments, and Multi-Factorial Falls Assessments.
• Experience with interventions like the DFG process, cognitive or perceptual assessments, and wheelchair assessments.
• Experience or skills in supervising OT Assistants, Tech 3s, and OT students.
