Locum Band 6 Occupational Therapist
Position: Band 6 Occupational Therapist
Location: Wales
Contract Duration: 19th August 2024 - 6th October 2024
Hours: Part-time (minimum 22.5 hours per week)

Role Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Occupational Therapist. The successful candidate will deliver evidence-based, recovery-focused Occupational Therapy specialist assessments and interventions to a defined caseload across various wards, including the Assessment ward, Treatment wards, and the Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialist Occupational Therapy assessments and interventions based on the Model of Human Occupation (MOHO).
- Deliver recovery-focused and evidence-based interventions tailored to individual needs.
- Manage a defined caseload effectively across the Assessment ward, Treatment wards, and Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit.
- Utilize recognized outcome measures to evaluate the effectiveness of assessments and interventions.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient care and recovery outcomes.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of Occupational Therapy services and initiatives.
Essential Requirements:
- Qualified Occupational Therapist with relevant registration (e.g., HCPC).
- Proven experience in delivering Occupational Therapy within mental health settings.
- Knowledge and application of MOHO in clinical practice.
- Strong ability to use evidence-based assessments and outcome measures.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work flexibly and manage a varied caseload effectively.
Desirable Attributes:
- Previous experience working in a Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit.
- Additional training or qualifications in mental health and recovery-based practices.
