  • We are looking for a senior occupational therapist for one of the trust in London. The trust is known for its innovative approach to community care, offering a wide range of services including district nursing, rehabilitation, and specialist therapies.

    The Trust uses only DE mode of payment.

    Description:

    The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated individual, who is passionate about helping patients to improve their quality of life and helping staff to develop in their roles and are keen to learn.

    The role will involve assessing patients functional abilities and providing appropriate interventions within a rehabilitation hospital setting to maximise functional abilities and independence. You will have the opportunity to develop your understanding and application of the OT process, complete assessments, and rehabilitation programmes for activities of daily living, group activity, prescribe different assistive devices to enhance independence and provide excellent clinical reasoning for use of equipment. The role will help with attaining skills in complex discharge planning alongside your multidisciplinary team (MDT) colleagues.

    You will be working with a dedicated MDT that includes Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Nurses, Doctors and Social Workers. The successful candidate will be able to work autonomously, have excellent communication and time management skills with the ability to problem solve and prioritise.

    Requirements:

    • HCPC registered Occupational Therapist.
    • Experience of working as part of an MDT
    • Use of functional assessment and activity analysis.
    • Relevant work experience in a variety of clinical placements.
    • Effective written and oral communication skills
    • IT Skills including Word processing and internet skills
